Lets talk about Effects!

Stomp Boxes, Multi Effect Units, Pods, Rack Mount.....What ever!

What have you got, how do you have it set up, what do you think of it?

At the moment I have been doing alot of experimenting with my gear, mainly effect pedals and how they are set up.

I have

Boss NS-2 Noise Suppressor
Boss DD-3 Digital Delay
Boss CEB-3 Bass Chorus
Boss CS-3 Compressor/Sustainer
Boss DS-1 Distortion
Boss VE-20 Vocal Performer
PSK Flanger
Digitech Bad Monkey Tube Over Drive
Dunlop Original Cry Baby Wah

At the moment, this is how they are set-up

Guitar>NS-2>DD-3>CEB-3>PSK-FLANGER>Amplifier
In the NS-2 Effects Loop I have the Tube Overdrive>Wah>CS-3

This is going from recomendations to have Modulation effects in the guitar chain close to the amp and to have Distortions and Compressors in the NS-2 Effects Loop.

At the moment this is working really well and I have my sound close to dialled in.

Does anyone have any experience with the Bad Monkey Tube Overdrive, its basically Digitech's cheaper version of a Tube Screamer. I just picked this up today and I am trying to get it to smooth out the distortion of my T2 at the moment they just seem to be fighting against each other.

Cheers
Dave

Some old school guy told me that the best way to use that bad monkey pedal is to use it before a distortion pedal. He personally used the bad monkey before the Hardwire distortion Sc-2 pedal, which is a really versatile distortion pedal. It's one of my personal favorites.

@Dave, you dont use the T2's distortion with that setup? The amp stays on the clean channel?

Mine gears:

Guitar - Line6 FM4 Filter Modulator, Dunlop Crybaby From Hell, Digitech Whammy, MXR GT OD (for overdrive), MXR Phaser EVH, MXR Flanger EVH, Line6 Echo Park.

I'm planning to replace MXR GT OD with Hardwire Valve Distortion. Is the hardwire cool enough to be used as an overdrive for dirty channell?
