Randall RT 100 ledstripe
« on: November 26, 2012, 05:11:12 AM »
My ledstripe is not functioning and I was just wondering if anybody knows what kind it is. Is it a 12v ledstripe? Doesn´t say on the stripe itself. I would really like the blue light i my amp to work.

I had my RT50H chassis out today voiding my warranty.  :o
Took the opportunity to measure the voltage on the led plug and it was 15.2. That is unloaded so
with the strip plugged in it may drop a small amount. Will try to get another measurement
when i get it all back together.
Also noticed that where the plug is on the PCB, it was at an angle and pulled kind of tight.
Could be a point of future failure so i gave it a bit of slack.
Don't know if any of that helps you , but thought i would throw it up on the board here.

*edit*

i got 12.53V with the strip plugged in.

Ok! Thanks! I will buy a 12v ledstrip tomorrow put it in there and see what happens. One guy told me that a  12v ledstrip can handle a bit more than 12v, I don´t know but it´s worth a try.
