RG100es is by far my favorite amp I own. Everyone says tube amps are the best, but I own multiple Marshall and Fender heads and in my opinion the 100es is the best.
Now the 100es vs the 100 classic, I have both and would go with the es if you looking for heavy metal. Just seems like it has a lot more gain and balls than the more "clean" classic version.

Ok, thanks. I'm definitely going for a metal tone, similar to dimebag, george lynch, etc. I'm also in the market for any Randall SS amp, so do you have any other recomendations?

I only own those 2 types of Randall amps I own, I haven't used any of their new stuff yet, would like to try one of those Kirk Hammett models.
I have multiple RG100es' though. Test them out before you buy one, some seem to have different tones even with the same settings. I boost my favorite 100es with a Ibanez Tube Screamer and it sounds killer, gets that good Slayer "chunk chunk" going on.

The RG100ES is badass.  I got a late 80's one, and I can get cleans, mix signals and get blues, swampy sounds, and push it and get screaming shredding metal sounds (slayer, panter, metallica, etc.)
