RG-120 Big Bertha
« on: November 17, 2013, 05:41:38 PM »
I recently got this great old RG-120 1x15 combo. I am wanting more info if anyone knows anything--years of production, details about the circuit, etc. It has two channels with high and low inputs, gain boosts on the master volume and channel 2 treble pots, reverb and tremolo, and an effects loop. I replaced the very worn speaker with an Eminence Big Ben and this amp sounds killer.
Any info on this amp, no matter how trivial, would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds extra killer with my RG13 running in front, but that's just an aside.

I have an RG 120 (Commander 1) with the 15" speaker.
I found the schematics for it.
Hard to find info on this amp, must be a rare unit?

Anyone else? I am in need of technical help.

Can you post the schematics? I have a KH120 i got cheap off craigslist because the input jack was broken (easy fix)

Ide like to roll the gain back on both OD channels, either remove the clipper diodes or change some resistance so the gain knobs have more headroom so to speak.
