Randall cabinet horrible buzzing noise.
« on: August 19, 2012, 05:55:40 PM »
I was wondering if anyone could help me.

I have a Randall rh150g3head and 4x12 slanted cab. Recently I have had an awful buzz when playing it. On both clean and distortion channels.  But when I have played through a bugera can recently there was no buzzing at all.  I thought the problem was the head but it looks as though as its the cab.  Any thoughts, any help would be great!

first and for most open the cab up and tighten any screws in the cab to make sure they are not loose

2nd check the speaker cones and magnets for rips, tears, cracked magnet ect....

3rd when closing cab back up be sure to use some foam(such as screen door strip foam it should be very thin) the foam usally does the trick also be sure to foam the input jack plate

i have found before that i was rattling the screws loose so i used blue loctite on all my screws

and dont forget to check corner cap screws
Electric Wizard,Weedeater,High on Fire thats my play list
