Let me spill my guts... I have owned nearly all of the American made big muffs except the V3, and I've owned most of the Russian versions. The best ones are the ones I still own, which include the Ram's Head, Op Amp version 4, and Russian Civil War. I also have a Univox Superfuzz which is bad a##, but I have also owned a BYOC leeds fuzz that sounded the exact same. I ended up selling the BYOC, and kept the Univox for prosperity. The vintage Fender Blender and Foxx Tone Machines are cool, but I have never found a practical use for them. On other hand, I have a Dunlop Jimi Hendrix System octave fuzz that I find to be very useful. My next fuzz purchase will likely be a Boss Fz-2. I hear it is an evil sounding fuzz box. I could go on and on, but I'll stop here.
