« on: February 22, 2016, 05:13:06 PM »
how do I identify them and where do I find replacments??!! I'm a touring and guitarist and I've been using this head since '96 and she finally ate s**t. I picked up one of them new Orange CR120's for the time being and it's trully an awesome amp........but it's not the same. according to my amp dude the power transistor on it is fried and needs replacment but they're impossible to find. any suggestions?

I thought most SS amps all use similar power transistors, i dont think amp builders use custom or rare power chips. Normally they dont just blow unless there is cooling problems or a shorted speaker or cable.

Ide hate to replace the OT transistors and then they blow again because a speaker is blown and shorted or a cable got bent or something and you just blow the new chips again.
